OK yes you read correctly we raffled an iMac again for December and I thought it would do as well as the November Raffle did but, it didn’t. We had no entries.
Could it be everyone was to busy Christmas Shopping that they just forgot? Or could it be that you think this is to good to be true? I realize it does seem a little crazy that you could win a computer of this caliber for only 5.00. Yes you reading this now could have one this computer for only 5.00 because no one else....I repeat NO ONE entered the December Raffle.....Believe you me, I am just as surprised as you are...
That being said, just look at out past winners on our youtube channel watch the raffle its real folks and yes you can watch as I make the upgrades to the computer on our youtube channel and vote on what I put in the computer. So basically you get to win a computer that you help customize......How cool is that. Alright everyone have a happy and safe new year, and Make it a great day.

C Cleaner malware Breach part II

OK All, so a few days ago I started talking about the C Cleaner Malware incident and apparently the plot thickens.....Initial reports were that a disgruntled employee was the cause of the whole C Cleaner debacle seeing as AVAST bought Piriform. The thought was that a fired or say disgruntled programer unleashed the malware into the 5.33 update. Which makes since right because how else could the software pass all of the stringent testing that goes on before it gets released to Millions of subscribers. This Malware got into an official release, not some bootleg version from some torrent download. That has to suggest an inside force right ??????? Lets face it CCleaner is one of the best at what they do. Over 2 million people cant be wrong.... I still use them despite this issue. I’m not the only one either like I said there were over 2 million people affected by the incident, seeing as over 2 million confirmed people downloaded the malware ridden version.
But recently the plot has thickened, apparently the hackers that got into CCleaner this August tried to also get into Microsoft, Intel and other top technology companies says research from the team at Cisco Systems this past Wednesday.
The Malware allowed the person with control to gather data from the infected computers, things like the computers name, a list of installed software and the processes running on the infected computer. It also revealed the MAC addresses of the first three devices on the users network, and the unique ID’s to identify each computer in part. The Malware also had the ability to download and run other malware on the users system. Needless to say potentially very damaging stuff. So who is this threat group, who are these hackers or potentially disgruntled hacker seeing to not just want to take or get back at the big guys like CCleaner, but now Microsoft and Intel ?????
Researchers at Cisco, the Tech giant that warned Avast about the attack also said that a server seized by US law enforcement showed that the hackers installed additional malicious software on a select group of at least 20 machines. So it looks like us little guys weren't the real targets. So far it is unknown what companies housed those 20 machines but did reveal that they targeted major TECH giants like Samsung, Sony Akamai and even Cisco itself. Craig Williams of Cisco’s Talos unit stated “ Its like the bad guys cast a net and caught all the fish, but only wanted to infect the machines that were most interesting.” So what do these hackers really want, what are they really after? Williams said that the hackers could have used CCleaner as a doorway to steal technology secrets from those companies. Or maybe they were trying to get malicious code into the products of those companies products, that get used by high value targets in government and business around the world. So I ask again.....Who is the Real target, and what are theses hackers really trying to do, what information are they really after. The Code used in that hack looks similar to whats been used by the Chinese, said Kaspersky Lab, Cisco and others but that code could have been stolen so re really don’t know what country these hackers are from. That being said stay safe on the web and look our for my latest youtube video on how to make sure your computer hasn’t been infected and how to remove it if it has been.
Thanks for taking the time out to read todays blog and as always.....”Make it a great day.” Sincerely, Mike
Stay tuned for more info and updates on this incident and whats going on in the WWW aka the World Wide Web

Recently we all found out that CCleaner one of the leading suppliers of software to help keep your computer running smooth with out issues was recently imbedded with some nasty malware....
The attacker added malware to the CCleaner 5.33.6162 and CCleaner Cloud 1.07.3191 installers, but the malware only executed on the 32-bit systems and when the administrator account was used. Stay tuned for more details.....
